Sunday October 20th, we’ll welcome the Rawas family of Old Damascus Fare to share delicious Syrian food and their story of resettling in America. Look forward to talking about the intersection of food and religion and how food rituals play a role in religious ceremonies and observances the world over.


Our menu for the evening is in the works. We should have it completed soon, stay tuned!

Our partner organization for the evening is 1951 Coffee Company. 1951 was founded in 2015, is a non-profit specialty coffee organization that promotes the well-being of the refugee community in the United States by providing job training and employment to refugees, asylees, and special immigrant visa holders while educating the surrounding community about refugee life and issues.


Pricing: We're committed to being and building an inclusive community while also making the event sustainable for the chef. Everyone is welcome at our table and to help that happen we are offering sliding scale tickets prices which include dinner, drinks (alcoholic & non) & stimulating discussion.
$80 - A portion of your ticket subsidizes someone who can pay less.
$60 - If you earn a living wage this ticket helps the chefs do the same.
$45 - Join Us! We are grateful that you choose to spend your money on this event 

and are excited to have you at the table!

As our political discourse gets more polarized, it becomes ever more important to have places where we can have meaningful connection discovering inherent connections to one another. Join us for an evening of delicious food paired with just as delicious conversation, leaving with both your belly and mind full.
