THANK YOU FOR A BEAUTIFUL EVENT

CHECK OUT PHOTOS HERE

In the dark days of January, we travel to Senegal with chef Nafy Flatley of Teranga, who will share her story and discuss what it's like to be an immigrant - and a mother. As a parent of an 'American' child, how do you balance history & present? How do you raise your children to enjoy & engage in their new communities but still honor the country from which they've come? What do you do when they want pizza and not maafe for dinner?!?!

Our menu for the evening is in the works. We should have it completed soon, stay tuned!

*If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you purchase your ticket and/or email us with details so we can plan accordingly. No changes can be made the night of*

Our partner organization for the evening is Street Level Health Project, an Oakland-based grassroots organization whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of underserved urban immigrant communities in the Bay Area. They work with Alameda County residents who were, or, are, homeless, previously homeless, re-entry, immigrant, and non-immigrant families; providing a full wrap-around center that provides an array of services from healthcare, to food access, steady employment and job safety training, and legal and health social services referrals.

Pricing: We're committed to being and building an inclusive community while also making the event sustainable for the chef. Everyone is welcome at our table and to help that happen we are offering sliding scale tickets prices which include dinner, drinks (alcoholic & non) & stimulating discussion.
$85 - A portion of your ticket subsidizes someone who can pay less.
$65 - If you earn a living wage this ticket helps the chefs do the same.

and are excited to have you at the table!
If you are feeling inspired to come but $45 doesn’t work, please email us.

As our political discourse gets more polarized, it becomes ever more important to have places where we can have meaningful connection discovering inherent connections to one another. Join us for an evening of delicious food paired with just as delicious conversation, leaving with both your belly and mind full.
